Schengen Extended: 9 New Countries Added Tomorrow

Extension of the Schengen system to 9 new countries

Nine new countries will join the Schengen system
on December 21 this year - they are Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland,
Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Malta.

The
following 15 countries have been part of the Schengen area since March
25, 2001: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece,
Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain
and Sweden.
