For now we have red points for places where we visited and green one - home location.
I suggest to separate visited place on which you visit or transit - for example add yellow or blue color.
You can ask what to do if you was in the city for some days and transit too? So I think if you were in the city besides the transit it's the current state - you visited this city and display in green color as now.
