Good Neighbors during Hurricane Gustav

Shelters were set up and staffed, and aid and comfort was available. Neighborly attitudes are sure to continue as people are beginning to return home.

Hurricane Gustav Spares Alabama Gulf Coast

Whew!

Hurricane Gustav

All media eyes are on the Gulf Coast. Now is the time for everyone to already be in their safe place. Many, many people have heeded the warning and have evacuated the coastal areas of Louisiana and Mississippi. Other areas like the Alabama Gulf Coast and the Florida panhandle will have minimal impact. They will still experience rough surf and high winds, but the damage will not be as severe as it will be more to the west.
